30 Day Bit Trial
Many of our bits are available for a 30 day trial period. Please select the trial option when ordering your bit; this will allow you to return the bit if it does not work out during your trial period. There is non-refundable $26.50 CAD ($20 USD) fee for the 30 day trial option. If you go through a virtual or in-person bit consultation with Abby, the trial fee for any recommended bits is waived.
You have 30 days from the time that you receive the bit to try it and determine if it is a good fit for you and your horse. We highly recommend that you do your best to replicate your usual riding environment to test out a new bit, and definitely try it over the course of a few rides to get a good feel for it! If you need more trial time due to unexpected circumstances (horse gets injured, etc), please notify us to request a trial extension. We understand that horses can be delicate creatures!
By the end of your 30 day trial period, you will need to submit a Return Request if you choose return the bit to us. Please package the bit in its original box/shipping package and return it to the address listed in the Return Request section. You will be responsible for the shipping cost to return it to us, and we will refund you the amount of the bit once we receive it. You will need to either drop off the bit or provide us with tracking information within 10 days of receiving your return approval, or your refund may be impacted.
We strongly recommend choosing a shipping service that provides you with tracking details so that the package does not get lost! We are not responsible for lost packages during a return process.
Your bit MUST be returned CLEAN and undamaged or your order will be subject to a $25 CAD processing fee. Your horse is lovely, but we don't want its "leftovers", thanks!
Bits with synthetic or leather mouthpieces are FINAL SALE and are not eligible for trials due to how easily damaged they can become.
Certain bit styles are not available for trial; if you do not see a bit listed on our website that you are interested in trying, please contact us for confirmation.
