Shipping is free on purchases of $250 or more. We can ship to virtually any address in the world, although certain locations outside of North America may require an extra shipping cost. Please contact us to confirm in advance if you live outside of North America!
While we endeavor to ship your items to you as fast as possible, please allow for up to 5 business days to process orders and ship out your items.
Local Pick Up
We offer 1 pickup location in Fort Langley. If you would like to pick up your order, please select this option at checkout and we will contact you when the item(s) are available for collection.
Clothing & Tack Return Policy
As long as the tags are still on, the item has only been tried on and is still in like new condition, you may exchange your item.
We do not do refunds at this time. The customer is responsible for return shipping costs. Return address found below.
Bit Return Policy
Bits with synthetic or leather mouthpieces are FINAL SALE and cannot be returned after the time of order.
We can order in any bit from our brands, whether or not is is visible on our website. These specialty-ordered bits (not available through our site) are FINAL SALE and cannot be returned after the time of order.
You may select our 30 day trial option on most of our bits; these bits are eligible for return if they do not work out during your trial period. There is non-refundable $26.50 CAD ($20 USD) fee for the 30 day trial option.
Trial bits MUST be returned in clean and working condition; if it is returned to us messy or damaged, a $25 CAD processing fee will be deducted from the refund of your original purchase price. You will be responsible for the shipping cost to return it to us, and we will refund you the amount of the bit once we receive it.
Returns are accepted on unused bits within 30 days of the order if all tags are intact and the bit is in brand new condition. This is if a trial period is not available or selected.
Please submit the Return Request form (see bottom of page) if you choose to return an item. You will be responsible for any return shipping charges (unless an error has been made on our end, such as mailing the incorrect item to you). Once your return request is approved, you have 10 days to drop the bit to us in person or provide us with a return tracking number. Any delay beyond this may affect your refund.
Your parcel needs to be marked clearly as a RETURN to prevent The Bit Barn from being charged unnecessary duties/taxes. If this is not done, the cost of the duties/taxes will be deducted from your final refund amount.
We strongly recommend choosing a shipping service that provides you with tracking details so that the package does not get lost! We are not responsible for lost packages during a return process.
How To Return
1. Submit the Return Request form below and await an approval email
2. Thoroughly clean and repackage your bit
3. Mark your package very clearly as a RETURN to prevent duties/taxes being unnecessarily charged (your refund amount will reflect these costs if this occurs)
4. Within 10 days of receiving your return approval, ship or drop off your package to the below address, and ensure that [email protected] receives the tracking details:

Please allow for 10 business days for refund processing.
When buying and trialing multiple bits, refunds will only be processed once all bits have been received, trialed and returned. We do not do piecemeal refunds.
Ex: You purchase 3 bits to try, hoping that 1 bit works out. 1 is in stock, so we ship it to you. 2 bits are made to order, so the wait time is approximately 6-8 weeks. You have all this time to trial bit #1. Once the other two bits are delivered to you, your 30 day trial begins.
However, perhaps your horse did not like bit #1. So you send in a return request form and ship it back to us. We will receive it and make a note that it was received in good condition and that you can be refunded $X when we receive your other bit that you return at the end of the 30 trial days.
